Q2 2024 iOS Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps in the US

In Q2 2024, the theme parks category on iOS has seen varied performance among its top apps. Our data at Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of these trends, and further insights are available on our platform.

My Disney Experience showed a steady trend in downloads, maintaining figures around 70K-80K in early Q2 and peaking at 112K towards the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter with an increase, rising to 126K from the 107K at the start of April. Revenue for the app peaked at $227K in the first week of June, with other weeks varying more significantly.

The Universal Orlando Resort app, while not generating revenue, had a relatively stable download count, with a notable increase to 86K in the final week of June. Weekly active users saw a slight uptick, ending the quarter at 158K from an initial 162K.

Disneyland® Paris experienced more variability in downloads, ranging from 30K to 91K, and concluded the quarter with a dip to 49K. Weekly active users remained consistently above 170K, with periodic increases, finishing Q2 at 200K.

Universal Studios Japan had a challenging quarter with downloads decreasing to zero during mid-April to mid-May, but later saw a recovery to 36K in mid-June. The weekly active users also reflected this pattern, dropping to 30K in mid-April and then increasing to 47K by the end of June.

Lastly, Universal Studios Hollywood™ showed lower performance in downloads, with the highest peak reaching only 28K at the start of April and dipping to a low of 1K in late May. Weekly active users demonstrated a slight increase over the quarter, ending at 71K compared to the initial 103K.

Overall, the theme parks category on iOS displayed varying degrees of engagement and growth, with some apps maintaining steady user interest while others faced more fluctuation in user activity.
